The wonder of Illuminated doorknobs!

 The wonder of Illuminated doorknobs!

Today, I'm excited to share something that I just can't keep to myself. I ran errands when something unexpected caught my eye in a waiting room. It was an illuminated doorknob, gleaming like a jewel in an Indiana Jones movie. What excited me even more was the yellow light emanating from within, as if it held the secret to another world. As I sat there, transfixed, it dawned on me – doorknobs are the unsung heroes of interior decor. This wasn’t just a way to open a door; it was a statement piece, a conversation starter, and a mood lifter! It was so vibrant that it could give a color therapist a run for their money. Who knew the key to happiness might be a beautifully colored doorknob?

As soon as I got home, I started researching different types of doorknobs. There is a wide variety of knobs available, but the ones with colored lights have sparked a lot of creative ideas in my mind.

Illuminated or LED doorknobs are doorknobs with lights inside. These innovative fixtures combine functionality with decorative flair, providing a unique accent to any door. They are practical for finding the keyhole in the dark and serve as a modern touch to interior design. They glow with the potential to be the highlight of home decor, setting the mood or guiding the way. These luminous beauties are sure to turn heads... and doors!

Here are some important factors to consider when installing an illuminated or LED doorknob to ensure safety and satisfaction:

1. Power Source: Make sure there is a reliable power source for the LED. If it's battery-operated, check the battery life and how easy it is to replace.

2. Heat Emission: LEDs can generate heat, so ensure that the doorknob doesn't get too warm to touch.

3. Durability: The integration of technology might affect the doorknob’s strength. Choose one that is well-made to withstand regular use.

4. Weather Resistance: If the doorknob is for an exterior door, it should be weatherproof to handle the elements.

5. Light Pollution: Consider the brightness. It should be subtle, not overwhelming or disruptive to sleep if used on bedroom doors.

6. Style Consistency: The doorknob should complement your home’s aesthetic and not look out of place.

By considering these factors, you can enjoy the benefits of an illuminated doorknob without any unwelcome surprises!

I will conduct further research on these fantastic doorknobs and door pulls. I want to figure out how I can incorporate them into my color therapy and then share my findings in the next blog post. This will be an interesting learning experience.
